Life Without Mr AP Who Knew It All

By the time Mr AP passed away, I'm left with 3 adults over twentyone years old, 4 teenagers and 3 chilfdren below twelve. My routine schedule goes on as usual but the other side of me is filled with emptiness.

My eldest Nadiah has started working two months ago in Kerteh, Terengganu, my second son Naim is wondering what to do. He has a pilot licence, been helping with late Dad for past few months and still applying for some jobs in the airline industry. My third son, Nadzmi who almost killed me, is doing a part time job as a coffee maker and does music at the same time, drop out from college but have high dreams of becoming more popular than Mr AP. My fourth Nadzrin refused to continue training as a chef and has become interested in automative and plantation. Still undecided where to  further studies and in what field. My twins Nadzry and Nassry exposed to archery, robotic programming, CAD and mechanical engineering. Fight with each other all the time. maybe they'll follow Mr AP's footsteps. Ahmed Nasuha the youngest boy is farther away in Kelantan to becoming Al-Hafiz insyaallah. Finally the three young girls who are with me all the time. Now that Mr AP is no longer around they get to share the super king size bed with mommy...

Mummy is still mourning over Mr AP whom mummy love and missed so much.....lying down in bed most of the time, watching Korean soaps and browse through others updates on facebook. Today, mummy decided to continue blogging after life without Mr AP.... Mr Who Knew It All.

NADZMIIII You're killing me!

Nadzmi, you're such a wonderful son. So good that I always give you anything you want and so wonderfully good that you'd do anything you want. You are such a spoil brat! Nadzmi will be 19 this year and I don't know what to think of him. I couldn't figure out what is in his head. He seemed to listen when you talk to him but then nothing happens. Does he have hearing problem? I hope not. I'm so conscious about my children having sickness.

I always make the same mistake, giving my credit card to Nadzmi. After what he had done, NEVER NEVER give your credit card to him EVER!!! He was supposed to ONLY use it to charge for car petrol nothing ELSE and if he did MAKE SURE HE RETURNED IT RIGHT AFTER... but mummy is so forgetful...busy with work in the office, housework at home and so on and so forth. When requested Nadzmi would give hundreds of excuses such as "ok, I'll give you right away"..."Sorry, I left it in the car"..or he would be gone for a couple of days.

"NADZMIIIII...are you crazy? You charged my card at expensive restaurants and having good times with your friends" I shouted. "Nadzmi you're killing me. It's so unfair when everyone else eat at home with whatever mummy cooks and YOU ..YOU..aaaaaagh"

"NADZMIII.....are you crazy? You charged my card monthly at a fitness centre and spent you free time exercising and building your muscle" I shouted. "Nadzmi you're killing me. It's so unfair when everyone else is helping mummy with the house chores and YOU...YOU..aaaaaaagh"

"NADZMIII you are killing me! You just charged RM2,500 for some musical instrument without my permission...and WHO's going to pay for it? I'm already highly in debt.

"Nadzmi please go get yourself a part time job. You only spend some days of the week in college, sleep more than 10 hours a day and do nothing except for lying down in bed with the computer".

Nadzmi, I'm not talking to you anymore because I'm dying.....

My Head Goes Horizontal

Never bring your children to your office. My office is right in the office library. That's because I work in the library. So, I think, the kids could spend their time after school hours studying in the library while mummy works. But that was not the case. They occupied all the computers that work including mine (whenever I was not around).Well, I thought that was ok because it would keep them busy. Normally, Nadzry, Nassry, Nasuha, Nafhani and Nazneen would take the chance to play computer games. Computers that work are very limited so, when all of them are here, mummy's computer would be nice to play with but make sure mummy 's not around because she would never let them play games in her computer. Whenever I came back to the office I would chase them all out of my office and remind them to do some readings instead. Yea, yea reading is boring when there's a computer waiting for you to browse it.

Nafeesa only likes Ipad. Computer is difficult because she has to maneuver using the mouse which is too big for her tiny fingers. So, when she's in the office she would draw. I would ever ready have colour pencils and papers for her. But at the end of the day, my office floor would be scattered with not only her drawings but lots of other small pieces of papers strewn all over. Then, mummy 's office will be in such a mess. This is terrible, they are treating my office like home. This is the only place I could leave in serenity.

Today, my head has gone horizontal because that's what happened to my computer screen. It happened last Friday when Nazneen told me, it was Nafeesa who did it!NAFEESA !! How did she do it? Until this morning I couldn't figure out how to turn it back to its vertical position (after many many tries) I decided to sort out expert help Mr AP Who Knows IT All. At first, I was told to Google. I can't Google head sideways! But alas Mr AP called and wallaa my problem solved. It wasn't that difficult..ah my life is back to normal...NEVER BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO OFFICE..that's what Mr AP told me!

Not eight but ten is enough!

I remember watching "Eight Is Enough" in the 80's. I learned a lot about the American family life from the show. So I wasn't actually got the cultural shock when I first went to study there in 1982. Probably it wouldn't be fair to actually compare the actual lifestyle with the one on TV. Then there was another movie "Cheaper by The Dozen" another story about big family. Of course there is Brady Bunch and a lot more. But I don't remember any movie/show on Malaysian's big family. Maybe not many Malaysians want to share their experience. Most of the time we read about them in newspapers or magazine and how some Mothers of the Year managing their children successfully. I wonder, will I be Mother of The Year if I manage to send all my ten children to universities. Those who successfully raise their ten or more children successfully, what are their secrets? Maybe they have a special formula or technique that they can share with us. I would love to hear from them. In my case, it's more of a trial and error..but I don't like the error part.
